Samantha was born on July 1, 2000. It was the Year of the Dragon. She was a little girl who loved life and everyone around her. She was smart, strong, courageous, funny, and feisty beyond belief! She was someone that once you met her, you would never forget her. No matter what the situation, she could always put a smile on your face. Her favorite subjects in school were math and "Computer Lab." (Every time I saw her she had some new crazy method of solving equations, that I couldn't even understand as a high school math student!) She was an involved student and was extremely proud that she was elected to Student Council in 2010. Samantha loved to dine out at many different restaurants; she was featured in Detroit Free Press giving the Pancake House a "thumbs up" where according to her they served the best chocolate chip pancakes. (She had such a big effect on the staff there that they all attended her visitation and funeral, crying for her as if she were a part of their family too.) She loved to shop in the village and at Somerset. Some of her happiest times were spent dancing. She loved to collect stickers, silly bandz, squishies, and stuffed animals, especially Build a Bears and Webkinz. She loved to draw, play board games, and do word searches. Samantha was always known to be very fashionably trendy. Her favorite colors were pink, purple, and "bling-bling." (As you might be able to tell from the pictures, she also wore bows all the time.
